2008 Race Results
Event Recap From Edmonton - Champion Crowned September 14, 2008So race fans, it's all over, but the cryin'. Our final event of the year was a nail biter to say the least. With the top three going in with the possibility of moving around to any position, the rest of the group was watching with anticipation. First round had Rod Elliott vs. Corey Sekura, Joey Steckler vs. Cory Kincaid, Eddy Plaizier vs. Jason Bussey, and Cal Tebb vs. Mattias Hane. Eddy, Jason and Rod all knew they had to win this round to hold their positions in the points. Eddy and Rod managed to take the win against their opponents bumping Jason from second to third place which he held on to with no chance of someone coming up from behind to take him out. Joey won against Cory to move him in the semi finals against Rod Elliott and Eddy Plaizier would take on Mattais Hane. Rod unfortunately made a move that will remind him of the potential damage that can be done when you second guess your competitor. With a slight lift of the throttle, Joey Steckler slipped passed Rod Elloitt and took the win. Eddy won against Mattais Hane when they were unable to shift the car and had to abort the run to avoid damage. The final run of the day saw Joey Steckler vs. Eddy Plaizier and for Eddy this was for all the marbles as a win would put him into first place bumping Rod Elliott from first to second. Right down to the end of the track it was anyone's race until the burst panel on Eddy's car blew out and he lost power allowing Joey to pass him just before the finish line. We can't thank all our fans enough for coming out to our events over season and would truly like to acknowledge the tracks and their staff for putting on such great shows and having us attend to keep doing what we love to do.
