Medicine Hat, AB - August 2-3, 2008

Another great show was put on in Medicine Hat for the NHRA National Open. We were unable to have all 11 members attend, but those that did made sure we would be remembered. After two qualifying passes, Darrell Webb was sitting in the number one spot with a 7.531 and Eddy Plaizier close behind in 2nd with a 7.575. The next morning provided all aspects of weather with some sun, some rain and bit of wind. With some delay from intermittent showers, we were able to finish the race with Jason Bussey taking out Rod Elliott for the "Wally". This is Jason's second win in a row for Medicine Hat and it also put him in the number one spot in points. Congratulations to both drivers for an excellent show.

We had a week off in between races and one of Ron Sekura's crew members was offered the opportunity to drive another members car. Jerry Kos, of the "No Suicidal Tendancies" car was short a licensed driver. Unfortunately Kody Kos is unable to commit his time for the rest of the year due to his work schedule cutting into his playtime so they decided to find a second driver for the remainder of the season. Rick "Kato" Yamada went out and made the necessary passes and to receive his advanced E.T. license and was able to participate at the race in Saskatoon.
