Ron Sekura
1980 started racing a '78 Chevy, 427 tunnel ram, dual carb & nitrous on
street slicks in Alta.
1984-90 Pro racing started in a '66 Chevy 454 Tunnel Ram dual carb & nitrous
with big slicks and 10 sec. runs.
1991-92 Ron continued racing another '67 Chevy, owned by Phil Ferguson of Red
Deer. Ron, along with his brother, Corey, bought a Trans Am funny car and
rolling Chassis

1991 Built a mud bog race track on his own farm land, called 'Rapid Fire Motor
Sports Park'.
1993 He drag raced his 1961 Ford 429 Super CJ Uni-body truck, port nitrous, in
Edmonton
1999 He started stock car racing on numerous tracks around Alberta.
2000 Came the expansion of Rapid Fire Motor Sports Park, adding a 1/8 mile full
dirt oval, new mud bog drag pits, tractor pulling track, extreme dirt bike
jumping, monster truck track, tuff truck track. Highlights included major Sprint
car races and some of the top blown alcohol mud dragsters in the country.
2006 He had the chance to drive Marvin Anderson's "Wild Thing" monster
truck, jumping six cars.
2007 Ron & Corey were approached by Kincad Racing to get a Trans AM funny
car running and compete with the IBAA. Licensing and experience was the first
priority for Ron and Corey, spending time in the Castrol Bubble Up funny car and
their own car.
2008 Ron & Corey have made a serious commitment to funny car racing. The
purchase of a Top Alcohol Funny Car chassis from Trevor Lebsac and a brand new
Keith black olds aluminum 540, Brodex heads, 14 -71 blower, Lenco trans., on
board computer monitoring, and more, makes Sekura Bros funny car one of the top
pieces of equipment in their class.
2009 Ron
and Corey struck a deal with Cal Tebb and purchased their second funny car, a
1969 Camero, - Keith Black, Brodex, Littlefield and Lenco drive train was
installed. The Sekura Bros also added a new
Tow rig.
Ron & Corey have worked hard their entire lives and are pursuing a long
standing dream of big burnouts, time with their families and being a 'Force' to
be reckoned with on the race track !
