Courtney Mageau - Girl Trouble Racing

Mageau Family Racing's Girl Trouble Funny Car is driven by third generation racer Courtney Mageau. Courtney grew up touring with the IBAA when her father Jay Mageau piloted the ever popular 57 Chevy "The Prospector".

The Mageau Family has been racing for over 50 years: Courtney's grandfather Bob got the Mageau Family Legacy going back in 1965 when he built his first race car that ran in the NHRA stock eliminator class.  2nd generation Jay Mageau began race driving at age 16 and still races today in the Nostalgia Nitro Funny Car ranks. Courtney, nick named Koot, has raced for 14 years in Jr. Dragster, Box/Super Pro, and 7.0 Pro.

Courtney rates winning an IHRA National Event as her biggest race achievement so far and is proud to have been named an Edmonton Woman of Vision in 2017.  She is the first female in Alberta to achieve her Funny Car license.  Aside from her father, she names Shirley Muldowney and Sherrie Bodnarchuk as her early inspiration (although she is a huge fan of 2018's current professionals: both Force girls, Leah Pritchett, and Erica Enders).

Her personal best performance is 6.92 seconds in the 1/4 mile and 199 mph.

Girl Trouble Racing is supported by Car Chief - Natasha Cherchuk and Crew Members - Darren Willman and Lyndon Crone. The car is also supported by Lance Turik, James Kerr, Cole Pasmeny, Ryan Fletcher and Doug Anderson.

Girl Trouble is proudly sponsored by Colter Energy, Canuck Fluid Systems, Champion Autoparts, Wakefield Canada (Castrol), AMS Engines and JB's Autoparts.  The gorgeous paint scheme was provided by Endura Paint with hand lettering by Mad Matt Paint.
